 For us, timber – and thus nature – forms the basis of our work. We are aware of our responsibility towards future generations. To be able to pass on an environment that is worth living in, we want to protect nature, which provides the foundation of our life. We work in a circular flow economy in harmony with nature: from the sustainable use of wood as a raw material via compensation measures in terms of natural spaces and the revitalisation of streams to the use of bark and sawdust to gain energy. Our goal lies in high-quality products made from timber as a natural material. The certification of our production through the PEFC guidelines (Pan European Forest Certification EN 450II) provides our customers with the security of supporting environmentally friendly and socially tolerable forest management when they purchase our products. PEFC represents the sustainable management of forests and controlled further processing of timber as a natural material. The forestry operation of our MADOK subsidiary was the first operation in the European part of Russia to be certified according to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) criteria. Leitinger´s whole company is FSC-certified. We offer special products in FSC-quality on request. The FCS goals consist of sustainable forestry with economically productive operational management and simultaneous consideration of social aspects. |
